We came as a family group for lunch after a long journey, and one of our friends recommended this Ethiopian restaurant along the way. At first, we were a bit hesitant, but he assured us the food was fantastic, and he was absolutely right! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm ambiance and the attentive staff (Rahel). The food was incredible — every dish was flavorful, the injera blew us away as it remained us the authentic Ethiopian injera. The coffee was outstanding. It was so good that we actually ended up planning for the next day! To be honest, we were supposed to have breakfast at our hotel, since it was included, but the food was so delicious that we skipped it and returned to the restaurant for another amazing meal. We couldn’t be happier with our decision and will definitely be back next time! A big thank you for Rahel for the amazing hospitality and making us feel home. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

What a wonderful find! I lived in London for 20 years and loved the Ethiopian food scene there so was delighted to discover Sheka here in Leeds where we’ve just moved. I’ve had my first meal from them Lamb Tips and it was delicious! We’ll be back often. I heartily recommend them.

We found Sheka by chance but it looked intriguing so we decided to try it. Sheka has a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with very friendly service. The coffee is very nice and the sharing platter is highly recommended. We never had Ethiopian food before but we loved the combination of different stewed lentils and vegetables on top of the Injera. We enjoyed the experience so much we are now planning a trip to Ethiopia.

We had the most delicious food, our first experience of Ethiopian cuisine and would definitely highly recommend a visit. We had the Special Combo sharing platter, the flavours of each dish were unique and flavoursome. The staff were very attentive and explained what each dish was. We had a lovely evening. We hope to visit again soon to try some more dishes and the coffee. Thanks Julie & Jan

An absolutely top quality restaurant. I have never ever tasted food as amazing as this before. We were greeted so professionally, the menu fully explained, nothing was too much trouble and I cannot recommend this place enough. Fantastic food, great service and very reasonably priced. We will be back

Has become our favourite Ethiopian restaurant in Leeds. Coffee and vegan food are fantastic. Server is really lovely and welcoming. Enjoy that it's quieter in the afternoon/early evening. Love the Ethiopian tunes and music videos. Just all in all, great!

Food was SO tasty, don’t forget the sauce !! The guy who hosted was really lovely and informative! Portion was huge (see photo 2 for plate to hand Comparison ) looking forward to going back :))

I always buy my coffee from here. 8 a bag. Roasted on site then ground and packed to order. Perfect for my coffee machine. Very friendly staff. I've not tried any food yet tho so I will update you later
